Jason Younkman is an outsider filmmaker, photographer and dilettante currently based in Columbus, Ohio. He caught the movie bug early on through Spielberg, Lucas & Co, but by high school sought to be the next Michelangelo Antonioni. Naturally he packed off for film school with the intent of making personal films. He settled on the Savannah College of Art & Design, where he graduated with a BFA Cum Laude in Film & Television. Since then, he has tried to unlearn everything he was instructed about film production.
For the past decade, he's self-produced a series of shorts regarding the subject of memory that combine glitch art with first-person lyrical cinema. His work has screened at venues including the Chicago Underground Film Festival, the Moviate Underground Film Festival, and the Haverhill Experimental Film Festival.
